Blue mountain is great during the week, its close to philadelphia, has a good variety of terrain and ability levels, the price is reasonable especially if you buy tickets at local ski shops before going. On weekends it can get crowded but still not as bad as other resorts in the poconos and the skiing is much better than most of the others...
The biggest downsides to this resort( and many others) is that there is that most skiers/boarders do not know or choose not to practice courtesy. there is no pass left pass right, are you ok(if you wipe out) not only is this courtesy its safety... more specifically to blue mountain they have several run that are designated beginner and its posted everywhere that it is to be slow skiing on these trails.. well not only do alot of people not honor this the staff does not enforce it or even follow these rules themselves....
I personally can deal with it i am a very seasoned skier but when you are not so seasoned or are trying to teach someone how to ski and have idiots flying all around you its very difficult... the mountain should really enforce there own rules
other than that blue mountain is great for what it is PA skiing.
