Blue Mountain Overview

Blue Mountain Ski Area

Blue Mountain is one of the Pocono's premiere skiing and snowboarding destinations. Ski or ride Pennsylvania's highest vertical with 39 trails for all skill levels. Two new trails added for the 2011-12 ski season; Razorback and Little Gap. Blue Mountain will host the US Olympic Luge Team practices and has the only east coast Natural Luge Run open to the public. Blue also features the region's only BigAirBag, a huge air-filled pad that cushions landings for difficult aerial maneuvers. Once you master your moves check out the 5 terrain parks designed for various abilities from beginner to expert. Blue’s 10 lifts, including a high-speed detachable quad and the region's only high-speed detachable six-passenger lift, allow customers to spend more time on the slopes and less in the lift lines. Blue Mountain has 100 percent snowmaking and 100 percent lighting for night skiing. The Tubing Park has 21 runs and 3 lifts for sliding all day and night. Blue Mountain offers two full service lodges to meet skiing, riding, and dinning needs. Two outdoor courtyards feature a variety of food choices, including outdoor grilling, along with fire pits to stay warm while dining outside. There are special rates available for groups of 15 or more, seniors ski free (70+), and save $4 when you reload your RFID lift ticket online! Blue Mountain is less than a tank of gas away from Philadelphia, Wilmington, and many parts of the New York and New Jersey region.
Nightmare, a thrilling 900-foot-long double diamond slope of steeps and turns and Central Park, is Blue Mountain's fifth terrain park. Their Park Crew will be bringing the “street right to you” on the slopes, with the addition of two stair sets and other street related elements, all from Snow Grind.
