The snow totals were not telling of the conditions today. Blower Powder everywhere. Ropes dropping and Mittersill open from the top no lift. Best day of the season.

Bad day at the Springs today. Even the groomed areas were very hard packed...almost ice. The parks were full of ice landings and take offs. The conditions have not been great so it is what it is. The fog was extremely bad...at least till noon. They needed to cut the snowmaking till the fog cleared. The two combined made for a poor experience.

The mountain was alright. Most of double blacks were closed obviously. Stay away from bear mountain unless you want ice sheets the size of semi trucks. Blacks have most ice. Other than that it was ok. Super cold. Runs good. I was at Okemo yesterday and was not expecting to say this, but right now....it's significantly better in terms of conditions and crowds than Killington. Stay away until mid season. Way too much ice

Conditions were fantastic today after yesterday's storm, which left some fairly heavy snow. Today's best run was Upper/ Lower Walking Boss. Today's best trail was Upper Walking Boss, with Big Dipper being a close second. Today's best trails for each area were Upper Walking Boss, Cruiser, Big Dipper, Upper Rumrunner, and Seven Brothers. Ripsaw wins today's most ice award. Things were skied off later in the day, it was very cold, but no crowds or lines.

Best conditions I've ever skied east coast. Knee deep with mid thigh drifts of super light stuff. Amazing, so hit it while you can but tomorrow is going to be PACKED. Too bad the main stuff all got tracked out after 20 minutes... The powder hounds were in full force.

Beware- slopes are VERY icy. A fair amount of grooming, but the temp dipped so low last night that, in short, everything is very hard and frozen. Only the blues & greens are open thus far, & it will only be with significant accumulation that the blacks will open- grass is still visible on them. Terrain park opened at around 3 pm today, but there is only one rail, & no jumps or other equipment.
