i enjoy skiing anywhere i go. it def a fun spot but i wasnt blown away by anything. you challenge me to a race, first you have prove you can actually keep up without me having to stop every 5 turns to wait for you.
Beautiful day today. Some of the snow was kind of weird though. Coming around the turn on Ruby Run was very sticky. Other places were kind of chunky. Quicksilver was the run of the day. Blowing lots of snow so it should be a good weekend.
the whole mountain is gladed runs top to bottom. if your on a green trail there are green glades then blacks have the black glades. just dont hit liftline until you capable of hitting technical drop offs on skis.
jay have some fun tree runs but lacking in the dropoff department. not sure what the can do about that as the mountains have very little rock formations in vermont. the catskill mountain have far and beyond gnarly terrain but lacking in development and most important powder. still waiting to see a company like Line do a backcoyntry film in the catskills. really insane lines out there if big snow come.
rode windham today for $20. Snow is a mess. really icy in some spots, bare, and heavy almost 5ft in others. you never know what surface youre riding on. watch out for potholes, there are huge ones everywhere. they dont have 8 trails open they have 2. but for $20 i would say its worth it if you arent driving far
killington in the hunter mountain of vermont. no tree skiing just tons of trails spead out over many mountains. its more of a party vibe like ski two runs then sit at bar all day then go home and throw up. yay i went skiing today. jaypeak has good tree skiing but no natural drops or rocks to mess with. vermont is pretty tame skiing in general. the catskill and adirondak mountain way more rugged terrain than green mountain range.
