so. ... a nice day for skiing. ...however, the buzz is all around whether gore cares much about its season pass and weekday skiers. both Twister and Showcase are loaded with (mostly machine made) snow. ..whales. and neither had been groomed. what a shame. it's not just the weekend and holiday skier who pays salaries and more for this place. seriously, helm a little for us. not like there should be any big budget constraint this year. Gosh it might actually keep us coming back. imagine. this is the best stuff we have had almost all year. please toss us a bone tonight, Gore.

Gore was better than I expected Sunday. Not great, but there was a reasonable amount of terrain open. Surfaces ranged from hard groomed corduroy to somewhat soft cruisers to steep icy patches and rock hard pebbly cottage cheese. Northeast skiing at its typical finest.

Very icy except for the few slopes they were making snow. Thin spots more apparent.

What a rebound for the mountain after last week's rain. Snow makers are doing a great job filling in all the gaps and the mountain is getting better every minute.

Machine Groomed

The surface is a little fast and hard but better than I expected considering the rain.
