Thredbo is a fully self-contained ski village beneath Mt Kosciuszko, Australia's tallest mountain. offering a multitude of year round activities to the outdoors enthusiast. It has the largest snowmaking system in the southern hemisphere, as well as the country's longest run (5.9kms) and some of the steepest trails.

Skiing in Thredbo is about the the closest experience to skiing overseas. Therefore skiing in Thredbo is about as good as it gets in Australia, when the snow is good! The Ski... [! full_review

Spent $10,000 on a week holiday here in 2006. Chalet was great, but came for the snow. Snow...very poor, not the reorts fault, but paid top dollar for everything including lift passes,... [! full_review
