severely underrated ski area. Second best in all of NM (to Taos, obviously). Santa Fe regularly gets snow bases that equal or exceed those of famous Colorado resorts. Beautiful moguls and difficult terrain can be found. Sweet secret stashes and friendly locals who will usually share their sweet spots if you share a lift with them. Great Tree Runs and Burns; not to be missed on a powder day. No crowds either*. It's rare that you won't be able to ride onto the lifts(at least on upper mountain). Great for disabled skiers/sledders)
It's small in comparison to Colorado and Utah resorts.
It's the first year it has had a park and it certainly doesn't impress.
Lower lifts may have Lines(not really a concern for advanced riders/skiersas they won't spend any time at bottom lifts)
Snow conditions are variable from season to season (sometimes it won't even fully open but base can also exceed 80+")
No on mountain lodging (but lodging in Santa Fe can be cheap)
Dated slow lifts
*Stay away during MLK & President's Holidays as the whole state of Texas invades during these holidays and Santa Fe has no capability for crowds
