Tons of trails in a little space, Good staff
Short runs, not for beginners
This was my first day at Waterville. I did not find the trails to be icy as some reviews said. Of course, I was there during a snowstorm, so who knows. I will say there is a large number of advanced trails versus beginner trails, so this probably isn't the place to learn. I wouldn't say the mountain itself is advanced; the blues are pretty flat and the blacks and fast but not crazy. The mountain seems small, but they pack a ton of trails into a tiny space. The trails are diverse and fun, but runs are pretty short. I had powder all day and friendly smiles all around. Went on a Monday and lift tickets were discounted, not to mention I rode EVERY lift by myself. Nice empty, beautiful runs all day, floating down the mountain.
