I visited Ragged for the first time this past Saturday (2/6/10) and was presently surprised at the conditions and overall experience. There were only a select number of trails that were not open and the ones that were had plenty of man-made snow, which was excellently groomed.

The lines were pretty much none existent even at the peak hours of the day. I think the longest I waited in line was about 2 minutes. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The food in the lodge was very tasty and they had numerous options.

All in all I would recommend Ragged for those people looking for a family friendly mountain close to Boston. It reminded me of Mount Sunapee in many ways.
