Lutsen to me is the greatest ski area in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas. Lutsen has phenominal tree runs and it is very well marked. Lutsen I think is even better than a ski area in Utah called Solitude. My favorite place to stay at Lutsen is Caribou Highlands it is ski in ski out. Lutsen reminds me of Keystone Colorado because there are 4 mtns at Lutsen that are beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert. Ullr mountain only has green and blue runs. Mystery mountain has blue and black runs, but mostly blue. Eagle mountain has everything but mostly black runs. Moose mountain also has everything but mostly Double black diamond runs. Moose mountain also has the hardest terrain in the midwest (excluding Montana). It also has the steepest run in the Midwest The Plunge. Also if you like cliffs go on Kit, Cougar, or Bobcat. But if you are not adanced or expert unless you want to get hauled off by Lutsen ski patrol STAY AWAY FROM THESE RUNS.
