I like Buck Hill, they do a nice job grooming, they do their very best to minimize icey conditions after a thaw. Even when it looks crowded things move well. The main Black diamond most visible from I-35 is really a great hill, it's wide, well groomed and always enjoyable and on the busiest days it's not crowded. This place is well lit so night skiing is fun/easy and after 7:00 the crowds are diminished. It's right in the south metro so it can be a place for parents to dump kids but I have always enjoyed my time here. If you live close and like to ski, get a season pass, it's easy to drop in and ski for a few hours if you don't have time to make a full day of it. No, it's not Colorado, and I'm not saying it is, but it's well managed and a good time. My family goes here often, we live close and we're glad we do.
