Full review

Went up on Friday night and stayed at Cedar River Lodge. Great place. Ski in Ski out access. Outdoor pool and hot tubs. Huge amount of snow. Nice Hotel staff. Large amount of souvenirs at Pro Shop. Best out of the three. Food Grille - min and my son's were fine - they were fried. My daughter had the Chicken Wrap. Stay away. Good fries. Not much atmosphere. Would have been better to set Restaurant close to windows for great view. Ivan's at Schuss looks better. Skied Saturday. Rented skis, boots, poles. Rental facility is small trailer but close to slopes. Great staff. They need to blow up Schuss Mountain Lodge though. It's small and cramped. CRL and Summit Lodge are the way to go. Shuttle Service was quick. Snow in great shape. Terrain here is more aggressive than Wisconsin standards. more like Granite Peak. Lifts are slow and drops at top are gradual EXCEPT Red Lift. Got hit by the lift. Ski Patrol responded and had to stop for the day. I'm a big snowboarder so navigating ski lift unloading has always been a problem. Yellow lift was great. Schuss Mountain has all lifts go to the top. All are triples or quads. No detachable - they are slow. Summit should only be stayed for its beauty overlooking the lake, Summit Lodge and The Lakeview Restaurant is really good.
