“Piste skiing in Chatel is good at the moment although the lack of recent snowfall means off-piste is variable at best.”

“Not sure what Robert is on about - the snow depths are superb for this time of year. 2 metres at the top and almost 1 metre at the bottom. "not so much snow meant better definition of the slope" - eh?”

“Chatel opened three lifts last weekend and plan to open a couple more this weekend. The snow is crisp and sure but was not deep until Thursday 4th when we had more snow. For three lifts you get seven pisted runs and options to go off piste. There were some rocks showing but this did not limit the ski much, and not so much snow meant better definition of the slope.
