We have come to WP on and off for a number of years. This year we purchased season passes because they are certainly worth the money if purchased early. On this trip, we've been here for a week and half with one more week to go.
We VERY MUCH like this resort area. The free bus service to the hotels and back and forth to town are great. We live close enough to drive but the busses are easy. I'd recommend Le Ski Lab in town for getting custom boots. It made all the difference in the world on our feet and our skiing!
There are plenty of runs for beginner and intermediate (which we like) in addition to over 54% being expert runs (for those better than us). Many places don't have near the number of runs for people in our category so the runs they do have are more crowded than WP.
The views from the restaurant on the mountain are spectacular! The food is great there also (cafeteria style). The sit down place isn't open yet. They say it is changed for the better this year but last year the menu was too limitted and the prices too high.
Plenty of warming huts around the mountain if you prefer not to stop in for a drink at one of the restaurants/bars and water cooolers are available to keep hydrated. I certainly prefer skiing during the week because we wind up with many of the runs all to ourselves.
