Steamboat

Steamboat is a ski resort located 160 miles to the northwest of Denver, CO, and features a ski town that may be just as fun as the actual mountain. The mixture of great skiing and snowboarding, friendly attitudes and authentic western heritage combine to create a resort that sets itself apart from the rest. Steamboat is comprised of six peaks: Mt. Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Christie Peak and Pioneer Ridge. Skiers and riders can enjoy 2,965 acres of skiable terrain that include glades, chutes and groomers all benefitting from Steamboat's trademark, literally, Champagne Powder®. The town of Steamboat also offers a wide variety of lodging and dining options for guests to enjoy.

    Best snow in CO right now, and more coming

    Pros: Fantastic snow, very good variety, and nice town
    Cons: Not a day trip from Denver
