Crowds, "Vail effect"

Full review

Squaw was truly a skiers mountain, now it is going the way of Vail with the loss of local flavor (not skiers, but the other components of a "ski town"). It still has the best terrain to ski, the coolest features and is one of the biggest mountains on the West Coast, but it's conversion to a luxury resort targeting families and beginner/intermediate skiers is taking its toll in the form of long lift lines at times and additions such as a Starbucks at High Camp (with a "ski-through" window).
