nice glades, not as crowded

Full review

Most people can't endlessly rip double-black runs every single day of their ski trip. For second/third day rests after, say, a thigh-burner at Kirkwood, Sierra offers enough terrain to challenge, but not so much to end one's day after lunch. Duck into the glades in the West Bowl, or just cruise in the California sun.
