Area Profile

Northstar-at-Tahoe is the flagship of the Booth Creek network of winter resorts. Northstar offers an excellent family experience. The area boasts a vertical drop of 2,280 feet, its longest run is a thigh-taxing 1.3 miles long. Northstar's mix of runs is 25 percent beginner and advanced, and 50 percent intermediate. Ski or ride on 2,420 acres of terrain.

Lodging Profile

Northstar has completed Phase II of its new pedestrian village, which features 100 condominium residences - there are an additional 260 condos accommodating two to 10 people outside the new village - a grand selection of shops, eateries and galleries, an ice rink plaza and a new skier services area with ticket sales, lockers, ski school desk, coffee housa and kids' game arcade. There are several other lodging options in nearby Truckee and Kings Beach. Accommodations range from condominiums to hotel-style units to spacious mountain homes with some slopeside rentals available. All rentals are within minutes of the chairlifts and are serviced by a free shuttle system. More than 10,000 beds within a 15-mile radius in Truckee, North Tahoe and Incline Village.

Six restaurants, ski shop, general store with deli and liquor. Meeting space, VCR and video rentals at area. All day childcare program for ages 2-6; licensed ski option available. Ski rental and repair and demo center. Snowboarding, snowshoes, and clothing rental all available on-site. Cross country rental and repair at area. Lesson programs available for seniors, women, snowboard, telemark, cross country and children. Snowmaking on 50 percent of all runs. Photo services available.

Area Recreation Profile

An 18-hole golf course, over 100 dirt to advanced single tracked trails for mountain biking, an adventure park with a ropes course, horseback riding, fly fishing in a secluded reservoir, and tennis with tennis camps available.

Snowboarding Profile

Small, medium or large offerings from one of the top ten best Terrain parks in North America. You'll find more than 45 rails, boxes, and jibs and 50 jumps. They have a 420-foot Super Pipe and Burton Progression Park, and signature features from, DC, Burton and Amped 3.
