Heavenly is expensive and crowded, but if you hit the Nevada side it's less crowded and a little more fun. Not really my scene, but it has a good mix for all levels of skiers. I think it's a good place to go if you have a group with varied levels because there is literally something for everyone to do. I didn't take a lesson here, but my husband and one of our friends did and it seemed like their ski school moved much slower than many other schools I've seen for beginners. My friend spent all day in a beginning lesson and at the very end she rode a lift up and back down, but other than that never left the magic carpet area - I think that's kind of a rip off.
