Bear Valley carefully maintains a longstanding reputation for family friendliness, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and end-of-the day comraderie. The mountain offers 1,280 acres of terrain on 100 runs along a 1,900 foot vertical drop. There's free shuttle service from hotels and the village to lifts, good mountain logistics and plenty of places to kick off your boots and talk over the day's runs. The sundeck barbecues are a favorite, as is the Monte Wolfe Saloon.
