Four of us Senior Citizens drove up from Phoenix to this wonderful resort. The prices were awesome: $26 for each of us over 65 and for Duke who is over 70 he got to ski free. We dropped off our skis at the handy spot next to the ticket window, but mid week were able to park very close. There was no wait to buy tickets. For those who needed to rent, there were adequate facilities and the rental process was relatively quick. The snow was perfect, or at least like we liked it with no ice. There is no snow making equipment at this small resort, but the natural stuff was more than adequate, as the trails were groomed. The best part of this whole experience, other than the picture perfect weather was the very friendly people. There are only four lifts, plus a couple of real beginner lifts, but there is more than adequate terrain for any level of skiier. The road up the mountain was well maintained, with a few patches of black ice, but we did not require chains on the day we were there. All lodging is either in town, or down the mountain, but only 7-10 miles away. We will definately return again, as our experience was very positive.
