Alyeska is World Class, with an average of 631 inches of snowfall every year and 1,000 acres of terrain to romp in. Alyeska Resort is a favored resort for family vacations. Mt. Alyeska offers 2,500 vertical feet of terrain. There are wide open bowls, and long top to bottom runs. The area has the only four diamond hotel in Alaska conveniently located with ski in/ski out access to the trails. The Alyeska Resort Aerial Tramway is a seven-minute ride to a viewing deck with panoramic views of the mountains, hanging glaciers, sparkling streams, towering spruce, and an array of wildlife.
The Hotel Alyeska will call and notify its guests in the middle of the night when the Northern Lights are out. Well, they don't call everybody, just the ones who sign up.
