We skied Okemo 2/17-2/21 the last four days of President's Week. The trails were in great shape benefitting from heavier snow earlier in the month, plus flurries while we were there. Okemo would really benefit from at least one more high speed lift - the Black Ridge and Green Ridge triples are slow and on a cold and windy day, it can be really chilling. We were amazed how uncrowded the trails down from the summit were, and then get back to the Sunburst Six, and think to ourselves, "oh that's because the vast majority of the skiers are on line." That said, when we tried other parts of Okemo, we were greatly entertained by the terrific music played at the South Face Express Quad and the dancing lift attendant. And on Sunday, the Solitude Express Quad had short lift lines, much better than Jackson Gore. Finding our way from one part of the mountain to the other was made a lot more difficult without paper maps, and we found the Epic Mix app pretty worthless as far as navigating, who wants to be taking out their phone all the time on the mountain? I rented boots and skis at the Clock Tower rental, and they had my large size boots in stock, just as promised. The rental team at Jackson Gore was really good about my returning them there the last day of our visit. They were doing a nice job seating people at the Sugar House and we enjoyed a nice lunch there one day. We had a less good experience at the casual 43 North eating place at Solitude base at 2pm Sunday where we just wanted to go in and have a cup of coffee. There were plenty of widely spaced and unoccupied tables, and also some occupied by people finishing their lunches. We were told we could buy our coffee inside, but then would have to leave, because 43 North had run out of food, and the seating was now closed. It made no sense to us and we asked for further explanation, and just got the same answer: they had run out of food, and seating was now closed.... Full Review

We have been to okemo several times and it never disappoints. The trails at all gorgeous, beautifully groomed. The staff are friendly, and there’s a nice vibe. We are here now during th week so there are no lines. Love it here!⛷⛷☀️... Full Review

The slopes were absolutely terrible as they were all ice. My friend who is a veteran got a concussion from going down them. The lines are extremely long and the lift system is the worst I’ve ever seen. I payed 106 dollars to come here and it was the biggest mistake of my life. Do not buy tickets for this place. If I could give a 0 star for this place I would. ... Full Review

Despite cold weather, there has been little in the way of snowmaking this week. Grooming makes slopes skiable at 8am but by 10:30 the slopes are bare and the afternoon is an exercise in finding small patches without ice. Only a couple of the runs have guns going and most clearly had nothing overnight. Maybe budget issues are capping operations spend. Looks like it could be an enjoyable mountain with snowmaking operations going, but this week is like skiing in the northeast on a bad snow season 20 years ago.... Full Review

Unfortunately greed has taken hold over family saftey; Ungroomed slopes, trails that dangerously intersect and limited snow blowing dispite perfect cold conditions. If you enjoy the sheer terror of skiing on a glacier or ice granules than this is the place for you. It's sad because we came here on purpose for the amenities which were mostly closed, customer service which was depleted and well groomed slopes. ... Full Review

Vail's management at Okemo has demonstrated stunning incompetence over the last few days. I came here for a few days of pre-holiday skiing, as I have for most of the last 23 seasons, fully expecting and accepting that reduced chair occupancy and other social distancing measures would create longer than usual lift lines. I assumed, however, that mountain operations would attempt to mitigate crowding and the resulting heightened risk of infection by opening as many lifts as possible. Boy, was I wrong. Lifts that could and should have been open were not. The resulting lines at the main lifts were insane, despite a relatively modest numbers on the mountain. If management's purpose had been to aggravate the danger of infection among customers, it could not have chosen a better way to do it. Also, trails that serve as main thoroughfares between the slopes and lodging for skiers of all levels were left ungroomed, despite ample time to manicure them after the last major snowfall five or six days earlier. It seems management has chosen to watch its pennies rather than concern itself either with the quality of the ski experience or customer safety. ... Full Review

Booked a weekend at Okemo Resort and had to cancel due to strep and flu. We bought trip insurance through Travelguard which is okemo mountains insurance provider- spent countless hours on hold (over 7) and attempted to use online claim service which didn’t work. Overall horrible experience. For a mountain that over charges for crowded, over served skiers they certainly falsify their claim that you can be reimbursed by purchasing insurance for over $60 dollars. I’ve never felt so scammed in my life. Plenty of other beautiful ski resorts in the area that cater to the skier and provide an overall excellent experience for your family. I would NEVER attempt to ski at okemo again. ... Full Review

First time to this mountain and was pleasantly surprised. Some trails on the South side had a few patches of ice, but for the most part the groomed trails had soft snow and were not too crowded. Overall, a great east coast skiing day. ... Full Review

Okemo is a great mountain to ski if you like groomers which I do. They do an outstanding job grooming and snowmaking making the best of what little snowfall mother nature has delivered this year so far. I have no idea what some reviewers expect... you visit on MLK weekend and complain about crowds - really? T-bar ? They don’t even have a T-bar lift... ... Full Review
