My 10&7 yr old sons learned how to ski at park city Utah For first time. Got home To pa And wanted to do beginner runs here. BIG MISTAKE. did night session 4-9p. One magic carpet broken (they never told us) . Second one worked but three skiers smoking at entrance to magic carpet and no one cared. Had to walk all the way down hill to get to avalanche lift (separated from other lifts and long walk back up to reach other intermediate lifts.) waited in short line with my very excited 7 yr old. Lift was FAST and NO BAR. he was scared. Got to platform and saw no one manning the lift at top. As I got off lift I realized my 7 yr old couldn’t touch platform and too scared to hop off (Of COURSE!!) so I had to yank him off before he went back down the lift alone with no bar. ... Full Review

Hey, want to pay big-mountain prices for an icy molehill that closes early and runs about half of their chairlifts? Well, this is your spot. If it's below freezing, you'd better bet that snowmaking is turned on all over the place, covering you in a nice, heavy layer of ice. Quite a few chairlifts were shut down the day I went, which wasn't a huge deal, just the usual annoying cost-cutting slap in the face from Seven Springs. But the biggest issue, by far, was the ridiculously priced ($75) lift tickets for a weekday. They stopped issuing twilight or night tickets this season, and now only operate until 7:00 PM. So I got up there at 1:00 on a weekday last week, thinking I could get a twilight ticket. I couldn't, but wasn't about to turn around and drive an hour home, so I bit the bullet and paid $75 for a very short, yet typical disappointing Seven Springs experience. Well, at least the parking lot was empty and the lift lines were short! I've never seen the place this empty unless it was raining, so locals seem to be taking note and hopefully taking their money elsewhere nowadays. Whoever is running this mess of a mountain should probably be working at Burger King. ... Full Review

Horrible. Paid for ‘mountain camp’ at the advice of a person on the phone earlier in the week because I typically pay for 2 h private lesson for each of my children who are at different abilities. Boy did I regret making this decision or going to this resort. We typically go to somewhere else that was full. No private instruction was available for oldest child so I went with ‘mountain adventure camp’ for my 10 yo at recommendation of a person there earlier in the week. She was placed with 1 other child of similar age and height and weight. I had seen an older sister not of some age and heigh t or weight circulating their group but didn’t pay attention to it. Until I got a call 90 min into the lesson my child was injured. Turned out the sister barged into the young non assertive instructor’s group at top of hill and persuaded everyone to go into orange zone next to a black zone instead of green zone. My daughter felt pressured to say she was comfortable with it (she just turned 10). My daughter fell and instructor was not right with behind her - not being aware of space it seems- and another skier skied over her arm and didn’t stop. Apparently that’s allowed there too without repercussions. They had no idea who did this. Apparently the person was in a group. Ski patrol was called and I was asked to sign a (non valid) waiver. Horrendous experience- please beware. Luckily my daughter only a bruised arm but this could have been so horrendously worse. I really don’t recommend this resort, a lot of skiers don’t know what they are doing and nothing is policed there. You also don’t need to go there for the food btw.... Full Review

I’ve been a season pass-holder for over a decade, why? Because this is the only place around PGH to get a few laps in between real ski resorts. This place is just a dump these days, thanks to the “shrewd” business model brought in by the cheapest of cheap, Bob Nutt-Bag, the owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Experienced skiiers, save the disgust, but what about beginners? Is this good for the casual skier? No. No. No. Your safety is compromised here, they simply dont care to groom anything out, or warn you when they’re mounding fresh snow piles at 7:30pm on “black diamonds”...my brother got tossed down north face like a tumbleweed because of a dimly lit slope, mounds of unpacked manmade, and ZERO signage for caution. They don’t give a fvčk if you get injured on terrain that they neglect. When they get natural snow pre-February, they ice it down immediately to lock in base, even on busy days, rather than allow people to experience powder for a day. They lie about amenities and ski conditions, charge your friends $100 for a Sunday session of ice-ski,(Btw Arapahoe Basin, CO costs $90 at the booth, day of...LOL) close down runs and lifts that they don’t feel like maintaining or operating, and hope that you go home early so they can get off to the fact they just robbed each chump $100 for a ticket and $20 for a freezer food lunch. Also, theres a toxic culture of “————— Trash” monster-energy-blowhard park rats that will kick ice on your face when you’re cruising under a liftline and laugh, while vaping and dabbing simultaneously. People here use ZERO skiers’ etiquette and will beam thru high traffic areas with horse blinders on. Just a really poor value, culture, service, product, and experience. You did it Bob, you successfully rip the same community off with another monopoly to add to your portfolio of Dogshit. You’ll leave a great legacy of ruining two once great organizations that pittsburgh loves.... Full Review

Although not needed as much this year, the snowmaking equipment antiquated. Litter under the chairlifts becoming an issue. Closing of lodge eateries and bars due to pandemic has caused some of this. Wasn't noticeable in years past. All in all, I would recommend resort ... Full Review

Old man winter dumped 13 inches of natural snow over this past week making my experience beyond expectations. Staff was kind and masks at lift lines enforced. The super pipe opened this weekend and was quite impressive. Enjoying the good blue skies. Will definitely return.... Full Review

I can't believe having a safety bar isn't mandatory. I can't believe 7 Springs doesn't have ANY foot rests on the safety bars they DO have. COME ON! Too expensive a lift tickets for them not to have these basic amenities. No foot rest = major calf pain the next day AND even shin splints. And I'm a fitness professional, I'm in great athletic shape! You should follow Holiday Valley's example in Western NY. They constantly improve their skiing. Thank you for a military discount, but you wouldn't allow purchase of a 2 day lift ticket. You allowed 2 day ski rentals, why not eliminate this hassle?... Full Review

I want to reinforce other reviews concerning masks. My college-age daughter drove to SS from Pittsburgh today 01/24/21. After spending $90 on a lift ticket she left after a few runs. Lift operators, shuttle bus drivers, and ski instructors were not wearing masks. The lodge and restrooms were filled with customers not wearing masks. She skied in the Poconos last weekend and mask rules were fully enforced. If you care about your patrons, it's possible to enforce the rules. She forfeited $90 and is hoping that her college issued Covid test this week is negative.... Full Review

Do you like waiting 15 minutes in line for a 1 min run? Do you like to pay $100 for a lift ticket? Do you like skiing slopes that are so saturated with other skiers that you can barely move? Do you enjoy being blasted with snowmaking? Do you like watching inexperienced skiers getting dragged out on stretchers on almost every run during a weekend? Then you'll love 7 springs! Hi, I'm Bob Nutting and I approve this message. ... Full Review

This is a awful mountain. Its about a hour drive for me and that's the only reason I go there. I really wish there was another option. Overpriced and under appreciated by management. I think it's one of the worst values in skiing/boarding on the eastern seaboard.... Full Review
