The blacks are very good. I love this mountain.
Close, good lodge, good runs
Lifts break a lot so some lines

7 black trails which are fun enough for a day trip! Everything is relative to where you usually ski. Was a nice surprise to see so much variety and pretty decent conditions with man-made snow, considering how warm it has been recently, definitely one of the better local (NJ/PA) resorts. And it’s in the Epic Pass so definitely a good place to stay warmed up for those in between trips out West.

Carl is the best instructor!!!! He is amazing an will help you so much with upgrading your skills and fast! Highly recommend! MR Whipple was good too but I cannot say enough about Carl!!! A must for kids lessons!
Fun fast skiing. Carl was THE BEST ski instructor for our 12 year old. He got his sking from beginner to intermediate in one lesson! I was shocked at how efficient his teaching skills were. Great communicator makes all the difference.
Small, can’t spend more than a few hours sking without getting bored.

They do a great job with snowmaking and get opened earlier in the season than most local resorts. Lifts slow, but not an issue during the week when crowds are low. Not a great play for weekends.
Good snowmaking, low weekday crowds
Very crowded on weekends

Website says “Buy Online. Skip the Lines.” Except when you arrive you are in lines all day. Lines to park. Lines to get your pass. Lines at lifts because they don’t have them all running. Lines to get food. 7 hours open for skiing. Be lucky to get 2 hours of actual skiing. Horrible experience. The whole world is experience staff shortages. Then limit capacity. Terrible resort.
Nothing
No staff. Long lines. Terrible experience.

Literally the worst experience we've ever had skiing. Where to even start!? Arrived yesterday at 10am for Saturday skiing. The line for lift tickets was 30 minutes, but then the line for rentals was 2.5 HOURS. My sister waited in that insane line while the rest of the group- who had equipment- went skiing. Lift lines were out of control long, and half the trails were covered in groomed snow but closed with no explanation. Half the lifts were also closed with no explanation except the good old "we are short staffed!" If you're short staffed and can't open the trails/ lifts, WHY ARE YOU OVER CAPACITY ON HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU'RE ALLOWING TO SKI?? The parking lot was an absolute nightmare by 10am and we parked what felt like a mile away (no shuttle, of course). It was covered in ice (of course nobody bothered to put down salt) and people were slipping left and right. Yesterday we got stuck on a lift for 20min, and then had the exact same experience today (and then they wound up shutting down the lift). We were told the same lift also malfunctioned and shut down last Sunday too. Just an absolute mess of a mountain with no focus on the customer. It's very clear that money is all that matters here, and although we skied JF many times over the past years, we will never ever return. Shame on you, Vail and Jack Frost!!
Good for beginners
Massive crowds, no staff, lifts constantly closing/ breaking

I visit JFBB often, but will not go back. I tried to buy lift tickets with a gift card I purchased last year, but they told me I could not do so, even though the card says " This Card May Be used toward purchase of Lift Tickets, Rental, Lessons, or Food Service". Awful business ran by awful people. Would give zero stars if I could.
None
Will sell you a gift card, then not let you use it
Skied JF last week on a Tuesday. Conditions were very good and coverage great till 2pm when the heavy wet Stuff kicked in... (warm day). I was pleased with the COVID/safety precautions in place. There were also few upbeat ambassadors (hi Fran) to monitor mask usage and talk-up the mountain. It’s unfortunate so many of the friendly employees (the group sales ladies, Max, Steve and others are not working due to “the times”; but we will see them all next season. I’ll be back to JF next week, and the following, and again etc. There is a different feel to their website now that Vail took over. The sister slope BB doesn’t get webcam or publicity focus at all. Hoping Vail influence doesn’t affect price Increases and small time family feel.
Steady pitch mountain. Typically good coverage.
Short runs.

Some of the runs have sections that are steep enough to be considered Intermediate. These are wide and well groomed, and not dangerous. Melting and refreezing is inevitable with our current weather patterns. The groomers do an admirable job of covering the ice with the available machine made snow; small spots do get skied off. I'm an advanced skier accustomed to Hunter and Mt Snow. I ski at Jack Frost as a pleasant way to stay in shape while hoping that the situation will improve at those real mountains. In the context of the ongoing national tragedies we're lucky to have this, as limited as it is.
Excellent grooming and snownaking, family oriented,
Icy parking lots, Slow chairlifts 7 min to top, 1 to get down
At one time before Peak Resorts assumed ownership the snow cover and grooming were way above average.Under present ownership both snow and grooming is below average.Prices are outrageous. The business model has morphed in to musical entertainment versus skiing.
ideal for intermediate skiier
deficient grooming
