Snow Reporter Comments: Friday September 12th - We are OPEN for NZJFT Comp Day! The Summer Road and Access Tow will be open early - 7:30am early, so all competitors can get up for breifings at the Top Hut. The Summer Road will be restricted to full vehicles only. The skiing in both hike to and inbounds should be lovely, with overnight temps around -6 snow should be dry, fast and fun. But something else is here. Is it a bird? a plane? no its the Access Tow Spinning, or use the Summer Road, best of both worlds. Although the towline itself is quite friendly all things considered. Please be careful, you could easily justify skiing a set of brand new super pow fatty mc fat fats above the lodge and feel pretty good. Below the lodge is rock hopper territory (kinda like what below bus stop was before) stick to the guts and soft delightful turns will be had, adventure too far and you'll find a lot of holes in those skis. Mollies Chutes will be closed today for the NZJFT comp. Don't forget to grab a nutcracker at the container.
