Super laid-back atmosphere, hardly ever lines, even on weekends, terrain for everyone, and surprisingly big! Their college discounts are unmatched- $430 for a season pass if bought before October 31! Tree-skiing is pretty good, but I wish there was a little more. The ski patrol is pretty laid back- you won't get in trouble for skiing out of bounds terrain. Lifties are always upbeat and cheerful. Weather is sub-par, usually cloudy- but that's just the weather in northern Idaho. Plus, it makes the bluebird days that much better! Schweitzer isn't for everyone, but with the short lines, variety of terrain, and deep snow, hardcore ski-bums will find a bargain here! ... Full Review

I grew up skiing Schweitzer. I always loved the quality of the snow, but last year was a bit dicey cuz resort sits at below 6000. Not a great snow year and the big bowl on the back was always chunky. Sadly, the management cut our ski season a month and a half early due to corona fears. I was okay with that because this mountain has A LOT of senior skiers. What kinda made me question my loyalty to the resort was the choice they made this year NOT to compensate last year's pass holders with some sort of discount. I was actually surprised to see they actually raised prices. Just leaves me with a bad feeling.... Full Review

I grew up skiing this mountain. They have made nice improvements since then on the backside. The high speed quads are nice. Unfortunately they completely detreed an entire bowl on the backside, which must have sounded like a good idea at the time, but actually caused it to heat under the sun and refreeze as crud most days. Sadly, last year they cut our season on March 10. It was an awesome March with several good snow showers. We could have easily skied til late April. I called this year to see if they were going to make good for pass holders this year with some sort of discount. Instead they actually raised the prices by 50 bucks. Classic Vail Resorts move.... Schweitzer Sucks. Skied back to back w/ Silver, Lookout,& 49 and they were = or better factoring price. Over years. The overwhelming attitude is condescending and pretentious. Customer service sucks;they don’t return phone calls.Marijuana smoking is rampant.Schweitzer President wouldn’t respond on chairlift about it. Never go back.... Full Review

The mountain had 5 feet of snow before we arrived. I hit many areas of pow just below the knees. found great blues and blacks with pow. I fell twice after stopping because I turned to lookback up the hill, put to much weight on my pole, and it sunk 3 feet into the snow. Super skiing ... Full Review

I'm closing in on 20 different mountains I've boarded and on a fresh deep powder day, there's no beating Schweitzer. If I get a mountain in Alaska I'll have the whole west coast in my back pocket. So here's my personal list. 1- Schweitzer 2- Whistler 3- Heavenly ... Full Review

We love Schweitzer! We purchase season ski passes and our whole family spends the winter on the mountain! We really wish they offered some kind of daily ticket packages for local families. We have a lot of local Sandpoint friends who don’t ski because of cost. If Schweitzer offered local families a discounted day ticket, a lot more people would come up. Also, we’ve been hit by snowboarders and skiers many times while on the mountain, so we wish there were stricter rules for recklessness. Other than that, we think this is an awesome mountain. The staff is incredible and friendly. My family enjoys the food options as well. Wish they had more gluten free options for allergy people, but for the most there is a decent selection of things to eat. ... Full Review
