A ski resort's overall star rating displayed here is not calculated based on a simple average but takes several factors, including the age of a review, into account.
Huge huge shoutout to James Lippert who was incredibly helpful on the slopes and helped my friend ski down the mountain and put on her skis. James was understanding, patient and helpful and I can't thank him enough. Kudos to him and I'll certainly be back in Aspen because of his wonderful service to go out of his way to help us.... Wish there was more extreme and technical terrain that didn’t require a traverse back to a lift after.... Full Review

My local Purgatory, Silverton Mtn or Wolf Creek may not have restaurants or shopping as Aspen or Vail, but our snow is far better and deeper than any of those overpriced and over-advertisted traps.... Full Review

Was at the elk camp Cafe having lunch with my wife. While I was in line getting food I could overhear this gentleman named Marshall making disrespectful and inappropriate comments about her and it seemed that he didn't care that others could hear him. I really wish that this person would be suspended or fired for this because it was disgusting..... Full Review

Snowmass has it all - all levels of terrain, the nostalgia of a longtime resort but with excellent new restaurants, new real estate, events, etc. The expert terrain is incredible and then there's plenty of beginner terrain too. Perfect crowd pleaser for families!!!... Full Review

Snowmass is the BEST. I’ve skied throughout the US and Mount-Tremblant, and there is nothing as great as skiing the Burn on a beautiful Colorado blue sky day. Snow was missing last Christmas, but that is rare. We come every year.... Full Review

Skied Snowmass, Aspen Highlands, and Aspen Mountains. Did not ski Buttermilk, as all advanced skiers, though heard good things about it for beginners. We found skiing conditions to be 5 stars, as we got 12-18 inches of fresh powder every night we were there! Enjoyed the Highlands and Snowmass the most, but was nice to ski Aspen Mountain and walk around town afterward. As an "adult family" we have skied Utah (Alta/Snowbird/Park City), Jacksonville Wy, and Stowe, and this, for conditions was the best yet! Also wife does not ski and the town of Aspen provided entertainment for her to enjoy. Also bus system made getting around a non-issue. Bottom line, we would all go back!
Only downside was distance and difficulty getting to Aspen. Flew to Denver and drove (or took Epic van). You really do not need car as long as you are close to bus route. Leaving ran into avalanches, and missed flight, but that gave us opportunity to ski Copper. All +++++ but distance from Denver! ... Full Review

The Mountain snow varies from top to bottom. If you take the Gondolan then high speed lift to the summit first thing in the morning, you have the slopes all to yourself. Glad skiing is everywhere. Good times!... Full Review
