Had a great season at Snowbowl skiing about 8 times. It was a little crowded during spring break week, but with the great lift ticket discounts that is to be expected! I enjoy bringing and teaching beginners to ski and wish there was a better "bunny hill" sort of area with a little more open ground for those not paying for lessons. Given the last arrival of snow to Arizona this past season, still a great season! Love the new pass system that keeps you out of lines when you are a repeat customer, even thought the line was a little frustrating on my first visit. Thank you Snowbowl for a fun-filled season! Hoping for an earlier opening in 2021-22 season!

I was going to bring my ski equipment while visiting AZ because, well, I’ve been skiing fir nearly 60 years. But I read the reviews on this site, most of them critical of how Snowbowl has handled COVID, and they convinced me to leave my skis in MN. But when the peaks received another dump of powder and my wife and I extended our stay, I decided to take advantage of Snowbowl’s spring break rates. For less than $60, I figured it was worth the gamble. I’m glad I did. I ordered my ticket and rental online. The process was easy and getting my ticket activated and my rental equipment was simple. Seamless. I was in line at 8:15 getting fitted and on the hill as the first skier at 9. I experienced none of the negatives noted in other reviews. The staff was top notch, the lifts ran flawlessly, and other than the fact the temps hit 57F and the bottom of the hill turned into mush, I had a blast. I’d rate this hill as better than little Showdown in terms of lifts and runs and similar to Red Lodge, though not as varied and expansive as Bridger Bowl. Folks who go to AZ seeking Big Sky or Keystone will be disappointed. This is not a destination resort. But it’s a fine, fine little jewel of a mountain in a state noted for cacti and 100 degree days. ... Full Review
We were pleasantly surprised by this ski area. It is a great value when you order lift tickets ahead of time, 29 dollars during the week! It also helps that there is little to no wait to get on the lifts! The slopes are well maintained and the terrain varied enough for most level skier. This place will likely not be for you if you are more into the glitz of the big ski areas, more of a small town feel to it, which we appreciate. It does have a nice gondola/high speed lift, but other lifts are slower. ... Full Review
This is a nice ski area and has solid skiing. On the things to improve, They probably need to gorw a bit to deal with all of the people on the weekends. On the Pros, it has nice runs, good terrain for most levels and during the week the crowds are better. Covid has hurt the experince, but I view that as a temporary thing...... Full Review
I really like to proximity of this resort, and the improvements made; however, they need to offer more discounted tickets (prices are ridiculous!), half day tickets, and they need to designate some runs skier/boarder only (or at least half the run). I really like to ski moguls, but there is never a good line because the inexperienced boarders get in them and shred them up.
This resort has the potential to be great, but I rarely visit due to price for what you get.... Full Review
Main left shuts off into frequent Long lines too many people on the roads... Full Review
Arizona Snowbowl... we decided to rent board and boots there as we typically rent from Ski-Pro but thought it may be more convenient picking up and dropping off on the mountain. So we prepared 2 weeks in advance and nothing in the emails or on the site suggested there may be a possible wait. We arrived at 8:55 a.m. this morning, Monday the 8th of Frebruary, 2021. It wasn't nearly as busy this morning as I've seen on other days but still, it too us 3.5 hours to get our snowboard and boots. Yes, 3.5 hours and that is not an exaggeration. By the time we picked everything up, and after waiting in two separate lines to do so, my son and daughter were famished; it was lunch time. So we had to eat which took us into the 1 pm hour before we caught our first lift. Now of course, I could go on about how unbelievably disappointing it is that a company so hungry to capture revenue would do so by stipping the core value of being on the slopes from the very people who keep them in business but I think the 3.5 hour wait with no heads up from management, knowing this problem exists, is case in point. The worst part of it all is that for one set of weekday board and boot rentals is $27 with the equipment protection. It's as it these people in charge of operations have no regard for the value of my time which is in fact worth a heck of a lot more than that. So thank you very much Arizona Snowbowl for your blatant disregard for your customers' interests. I've been skiing since I was 7 years old and I've skiied in many top western United States resorts as well as resorts in Europe. You're far from a first class operation. Your mountain and your operation is forgettable at best.... Full Review
Pre purchased tickets and was turned away (2/29/21) at 10am - yes - 10am they were at capacity. I was never alerted to get there early. I rented skis, drove from Phx and stayed 2 nights in a hotel - and never got on the mountain. Customer service took 5 days to respond and then just made excuses. An apology costs nothing.....which is probably what they spend in resort management training. Infuriating. DD... Full Review
Called to ask a couple questions the girl was extremely rude and hung up so I called back asked for her name and she hung up again. The rates change whenever they feel like it. Similar prices in Colorado, who do these people think they are. Just got back from vail thank you very much! Flights are 60.00 round trip! ... Full Review
