Sugarbush - This picture is from Sunday 1/14. It shows the general condition of the "natural snow" trails after they were destroyed by Friday's rain. basically trails without snowmaking and woods are unsuitable until *significant* snowfall comes through. Groomers are very firm, but fast and fun if you know how to hold an edge. - © james

Sugarbush - Skiid the bush today, Tues 1/17, stick to groomed trails at they are the best available and no ice but the ungroomed trails fluctuate from total ice to very little. Bluebird day and no wind definitely made a big difference. - © Dan S

Sugarbush - Very nice crisp bluebird day. They groomed yesterday's very fluffy snow into the hard pack underneath on almost every open trail. Morning groomers were nice and overall conditions should be better Wednesday as the chunks get finer. All of the blue trails were pretty good for April, blacks had more ice underneath with some minor to moderate edge hold issues after the groomers were gone. Coverage was good on all groomed trails with hardly any obsticales. Jester held together very nicely for the whole day due to perfect temps. This was my first visit to Lincoln Peak, and I like the new lodge type of feel as opposed to the more commercial or more run down resorts. They are building it bigger and better day by day. - © thebrambster

Sugarbush - Skied Sugarbush this afternoon they also benefited from the two inches of snow. Lower half of the mountain is really beat up from the season. you can see dirt in grass. But Heaven's Gates triple, this is the place to be. A majority of people could be found racing down Ripcord and Jester. Both load and groomed good. The lower half of the mountain is as good as it can get. Sugarbush is doing as much as they can with it but the conditions are thin. - © fallingdownmountains.com

Sugarbush - Skied Mount Ellen in the morning, fresh 2 inches of snow. Without that it would have been an ice skating rink. FIS was a mistake to try. Closing Sunday so not much grooming, but with the powder they really didn't have to. Tough year but they did well with what they had. - © fallingdownmountains.com

Sugarbush - A few inches of fresh overnight with a thin crust from some early morning rain equals much better coverage than yesterday. Low traffic also means that the new stuff isn't getting scraped of as quickly. Snowing pretty hard now, winds picking up and temps are dropping. - © Rob

Sugarbush - Skied this past weekend, castlerock & the connecting chair to Ellen were both closed. Trail count is inflated quite a bit but skiing was awesome, trails nicely groomed & overall best 3 of 13 days I skied this year. No lift lines, fun apres ski & both base lodges. Worth checking out - © AmblerMike

Sugarbush - We enjoyed the well-groomed slopes on Sunday 2/28, especially Birch Run on North Lynx lift, Ripcord and Jester on Heavens Gate lift, Steins and all the lovely corn turns on Spring Fling at the end of the day. March snows are desperately needed to keep it going, but Sugarbush is making the best of a challenging winter. - © cechlin151
