Ski and snowboard enthusiasts from around the world:

We have been proud to provide you with free access to snow reports, resort guides and more, and we are beyond grateful for your readership and contributions to our community over the years.

Unfortunately given the changing media landscape, Mountain News Corporation has experienced financial declines in recent years. With additional economic challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic now facing our business, it is not financially viable to continue operating.

Mountain News Corporation and our OnTheSnow and Skiinfo websites will be shutting down. We will explore the possibility of selling, partnering, or contributing assets to another media outlet if there is an opportunity to allow for a consistent or enhanced online experience. For inquiries about Mountain News Corporation, please email Feedback_OTS@mountainnews.com.

We want to thank our loyal employees for their tireless work over the years to bring great information to all of you. We take comfort knowing that our collective passion for the sport of skiing and snowboarding will certainly live on.

Val d'Anniviers Ski Resorts

Authenticity, relaxation, nature, sunshine: the Anniviers awaits you for a wonderful holiday in the heart of the Valais with a nice range of offerings declined in the plains and mountains.

From 1400 to 3000 m above sea level, skiers and snowboarders can find tracks of all levels. With a common ski pass, enjoy the 220 km of tracks offered by the 5 ski resorts of the Val d'Anniviers area (Vercorin / Grimentz / Zinal / St-Luc & Chandolin).

Thanks to their high altitude, the slopes of Val d'Anniviers enjoy snow conditions amongst the best in the Alps. The winter offer includes well (besides skiing), three terrain parks, a freeride area, an Avalanche Training Center, toboggan runs and snow-tubing, hiking routes on foot or snowshoes, and a cross-country skiing area.

Among the highlights of this region in the heart of Valais, should also be noted:
- The Imperial Crown of the five peaks over 4000 m,
- The old villages picturesque and authentic
- Astronomical Observatory of St. Luke perched nearby stars,
- The amazing cave Zinal Glacier,
- Finges Natural Park.

The Anniviers is a holiday destination, with its stations labeled families, its ski areas, and the full range of leisure and nature activities.
