Firsthand Reports

with my own eyes

I hiked a ridge line that gets a view of the slopes. The slopes were the only thing on it with any snow. 100% man made. As usual the snow they say they have is not true. 12 inch base of all man made.

Unbelievable! Kudos to the hill crew for pulling off a miracle!!! After 3 days of rain and temps in the mid-60s Wednesday the rule was Ski the white not the brown. Excellent recovery after 48 hours of snowmaking.

Pretty bleak yesterday morning, but it dumped all day and now the conditions are pretty good. Especially considering it was 70° on the 21st.

Probably the best day all year. We got up late afternoon and it was already pretty tracked out, but still some little fun spots.

OK. Thinking of getting out to PCR next week and staying until Apr 8 close. Have conditions and snowpack improve enough to warrant trip / cost? hi

I’d say Squaw got a good 8 inches of dry powder today. Cold but fun skiing.

Snowshoe has held up well considering the heat and rain. Silver Creek is a mess. Half the runs are closed and the ones that are open are in bad shape.
