    Engelberg in Switzerland has launched its first Spring Season Ticket (valid to May 27th, 2007) for CHF 350.00. Those who bought the ticket on launch day in mid-March got up to 80 days of skiing for that fee, those who buy now still have nearly 60 days.

    Snowboard World Tour event in Saas Fe

    Saas Fee will host some of the world's best freestyle snowboarders from April 19th to the 22nd as the glacier village stages one of the last stops of the "Ticket to Ride Snowboard World Tour 06/07". This all-comers event allows snowboarders to compete against their idols and have a crack at the $10,000 US prize fund.

  • Summer season ski passes on sale at Engelberg

    The ski and snowboard season on the Titlis glacier at Engelberg in Switzerland is open until 27th May, then from 28th May the glacier lift and the Ice Flyer chairlift will be open for skiers depending on snow and weather conditions.

    Several of Zermatt's leading hotels will reopen next winter after serious makeovers. There's also a new four-star hotel, the Matterhorn Focus, which will comprise eight suites, six junior suites and 11 double rooms.

    Saas Fee is the latest major ski area to increase the age limit up to which children ski free. Children visiting the resort will now be able to ski free up to their tenth birthday. Previously children paid for tickets from age seven.
