  • Terry Peak Last Day Sunday

    Unless a major snowstorm erupts, which is unlikely, the last day of skiing at Terry Peak, located in the Black Hills of South Dakota and the Midwest's tallest ski area topping out at over 7,200 feet above sea level, is slated for this Sunday, March 25.

    With over five feet of snow received since the beginning of February Terry Peak is in great shape with some of the best snow in recent years as they head towards the end of the season. There's still a lot of skiing and riding left for March.

    The Heartland covers a big geographic region, from the Black Hills of South Dakota to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains that begin in eastern Ohio. The Midwest covers 12 states and only one - Nebraska - doesn't have a lift-served ski area.
