Good long runs

A really good red/black resort, with plenty of good long runs. We ski red/black and some off piste, and found there was plenty there to keep us occupied in all sectors of the resort. Everyone who visits will do the Sarenne, which is coloured black on the map, but really should be red. However, its length makes it well worth the trip. The adventurous will want to do the Tunnel. However, apart from the immediate exit from the tulnnel, which last winter was side slipping down a set of cut ledges, the rest of the run was straight-forward. I say last year, because my memory of many years ago was a rope to hold onto and side-slip down. Not sure how blue run skiers would be catered for. They could find themselves trapped on the slopes down into the resort. Some of the lift queues were quite long, even though we were not in any school holidays, particularly lower down. Don't know about resort life, as we just ski, and then collapse in the evening. However, the impression at Grenoble was that plenty of people spend all night drinking expensive beer and don't ski at all (strange but I suppose it subsidises the resort for the rest of us). Very handy for Grenoble airport, making for a nice short transfer.
