Weekly snow forecast by On the Snow meteorologist Chris Tomer: Powerful Jet Stream Delivers Heavy Snow Intermountain West

A 125 mph jet stream delivers maximum snow amounts on a northwest flow pattern to ski areas in Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and Colorado. 1-3 feet of accumulation likely between Thursday and Saturday. A 2nd fast-moving storm system delivers a round of moderate snow late Saturday through Sunday in many of the same areas.

On Friday ski Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude, Grand Targhee, or Jackson Hole, on Saturday ski Steamboat, Winter Park, or Breckenridge, and on Sunday ski Big Sky, Jackson Hole, Snowbasin, or Steamboat.
