On The Snow meteorologist Chris Tomer's Snow Before You Go forecast for New Year's week.

A strong jet stream delivers pacific moisture and orographic snowfall to Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado between Tuesday and Friday. 1-2 feet of accumulation appears likely at many ski areas including Mount Baker, Crystal Mountain, Banff, Schweitzer, Whistler/Blackcomb, Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee, Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude, Steamboat, Aspen, Snowmass, Vail, Loveland, and Winter Park.
