OnTheSnow is cranking up the lifts today on its 53rd season, re-energized by our passion for “Enabling The Ski Travel Experience,” and our new platform, OnTheSnow.
“The new OnTheSnow platform has a fresh and modern design but, even more important, it’s optimized to reflect changing dynamics in the ski industry,” Chad Dyer, Global Managing Director for Mountain News, shared with OnTheSnow.
“Well over 50 percent of skiersand snowboarders today are using lift access products like Epic Pass, Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective, Indy Pass when visiting a resort. Consumer preferences have shifted as resort guests are sampling more resorts than ever before, and the frequency of visits per season continues to increase,” Dyer shared.
“Our new platform which reaches 9 million unique visitors annually across North America consists of our website, mobile app, social, and email channels catering to undecided/uncommitted skiers who are considering buying a pass, or have a pass and want to decide where to use it”, Dyer continued. “We are focused on ‘Enabling The Ski Travel Experience,’ by providing useful ski travel planning content, and a daily dose of inspiration to our users.”
The new look at OnTheSnow has been designed to provide the content and experiences we know skiers and snowboarders are looking for in 2021 and beyond. This includes three core areas of the website;
1 – Snow Reports
OnTheSnow has been a global provider of snow and weather conditions for ski resorts since 1968. That 24/7 coverage continues for OnTheSnow’s 53rd season and includes real-time snow and mountain conditions, exclusive weather forecasts, and more than 3,000 ski resort webcams.
2 – Trip Planning
The new OnTheSnow platform is highly organized around the pass products skiers tend to be using.
OnTheSnow has thousands of crowd-sourced resort reviews, and Visitors Choice Awards, that skiers can read to help plan their next vacation.
3 – Magazine
OnTheSnow’s weekly digital magazine has hundreds of feature articles and information you need related to gear, travel planning, ski passes, weather, and more.
