Carnival Time At Hoodoo
Once again – actually it's the 27th time – Hoodoo Mountain Resort is conducting its family friendly Winter Carnival Saturday, Feb. 9. The festivities, many of which are free and/or are included with your lift ticket, consist of such diversions as face painting, an axe-throwing booth, musical chairs for kids, Frisbee golf, a three-legged obstacle race, a pie-eating contest, and a dummy downhill. You also can go skiing or snowboarding, if you'd like. A BBQ pork dinner will be available at 5 p.m. When the lifts close at 8:30 p.m. there will be a torchlight parade (open to skiing and snowboarding guests of advanced ability) and fireworks extravaganza.
