USSA Training Center Breaks Ground
The current USSA offices in Park City have gotten pretty ghetto, so a brand spanking new facility to complement the work they do developing Olympic winter sports champions was well overdue. The $22.5 million building will be done in 2009, in time for the final training before the 2010 Winter Games in Whistler, B.C.
A five-acre parcel at Quinn's Junction near the National Ability Center at the intersection of Hwy 40 and Hwy 224, will house the 85,000-square-foot Center which includes strength training areas, a gymnasium, climbing wall, ski and snowboard ramps, trampolines, a nutrition center, rehabilitation facilities, and educational areas for athletes, coaches, and clubs.
