[R191R, Jackson Hole] is prepping for three upcoming events - the opening day of the season Nov. 28 and two new December ski and race camps.

The resort's new three-day Ski Race Challenge scheduled for Dec. 11-13 is a camp that offers heavy-duty race training. Coaches oversee racing, gate crashing, and practice drills that include techniques to strengthen racing abilities. Daily video analysis will help to demonstrate, teach, and reinforce individual racing skills. The final day of the camp features a race day to put into practice the skills learned.

The camp costs $495 with lift tickets or $405 without lift tickets. The camp fee includes coaches, video analysis, daily course and gate work, lunch, and a race.

The new classic adult ski and race camp scheduled for Dec. 14-18 is designed for intermediate and advanced skiers looking for early season training. The five-day camp will focus on improving skills and gaining confidence in gates and in powder. A giant slalom race on the last day offers the chance to test newly found skills.

The camp costs $825 including lift tickets or $670 without lift tickets for adults. Seniors can get a reduced rate of $750 including lift tickets or $625 without lift tickets. The cost of the camp includes coaching, lift tickets, video analysis, two lunches, après-ski activities, and dinner parties.

The resort aims to open Nov. 28 for this year. Details on opening day lifts, runs, and conditions will be announced closer to opening day.
