Happy Thanksjibbing from [R113R, Copper Mountain]. The resort gets festive for the Thanksgiving holiday. The 8th annual Leftover Yam Jam kicks things off Friday, Nov. 27, with the first rail jam of the season in the Eagle Jib Park. It's an open-jam format. Registration is free, but you must wear a helmet. Prizes are from Woodward at Copper.

The Gobbler Chase Snowshoe Race is Saturday, Nov. 28. It's a 5K run, but you can also walk or trot, or roll along if you ate too much turkey and stuffing. It's also a canned food drive, and all proceeds benefit local nonprofits.

The patio at the Village heats up at night with En Fuego, from 6-8 p.m., Nov. 28.  Santa and his elves will skydive into the village to light the Copper holiday tree. The torchlight parade will stream down the face of the mountain. You'll find street entertainers, bonfires, fire performers, and a brilliant fireworks display.

Mountain crews plan to open the new 22-foot Superpipe over the Thanksgiving weekend. The pipe will make its national TV debut during the USSA Grand Prix, Dec. 11-12. Top snowboarders from around the world will be there. Watch it on NBC, Sunday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m., EST.
