Ski Stoneham Unveils Homegrown Stunt
Last season Stoneham invited skiers and riders to design a stunt that they would like to see in the new park. More than 70 snow park enthusiasts participated, coming up with imaginative, challenging designs. Entries were judged on four criteria: technical merit, safety, practicality of implementation and aesthetics. A team consisting of an editor, a snow park designer, a couple of pro-riders and a pro-skier chose the winning design – a 3 step 40 foot box designed by Simon Belanger. Belanger won a snowboard from Burton and a night skiing season pass at Stoneham together, of course, with bragging rights.
