Alpine Valley and Brandywine plan on opening by this weekend, but Clear Fork has closed for the season. The same can be said for southern Michigan where ski areas are still struggling to get open and stay open. Ski areas and resorts on the west side of Lake Michigan have fared better with more snow and colder temperatures for the most part.
