GrandValira Announces New Season Prices
GrandValira has announced its ticket prices for the coming season, which begins in early Dec. The resort already has fired up the snow guns, but Andorra is yet to benefit from the heavy natural snowfall that has been blessing the Alps.
The 196 Euro cost of a six-day ticket is among the higher end pricing in Europe, with only a dozen or so major resorts breaking the 200 Euro price barrier. Low season price is 191 Euros. An equivalent ticket for Meribel, for example, costs 178 Euros, Kitzbuhel is 180 Euros. The GrandValira price reflects the resort's continuing move away from the budget holiday market and towards the quality end of the market. It also reflects the area's investment in state-of-the-art lifts that has brought it in to the world top 50 on uplift capacity and world top 10 for number of high-speed six-seater chairs.
