A mountain rep assured OnTheSnow that there was "tons of snow" thanks to a renovated snow-blowing system making it possible to blast and ski at the same time. The mountain invested in 150 SMI Fan guns in the off-season which sit on 30-foot pole-cats. In the past, trails would remain shut while snow-making was in progress, but now skiers and boarders can enjoy fresh powder every half an hour without risking a high-powered dosage of crystallized water to the dome. With a completely new water system in place, the guns have been running non-stop since last Tuesday. Temps are forecasted to drop into the low teens and single digits as the week progresses promising an influx of man-made snow. Flurries have also been evidenced off and on the last couple of days with a couple inches of accumulation expected throughout the week.
