With the largest snowmaking operation in the southwest, Taos covers 100 percent of their beginner and intermediate terrain with the human-made white stuff. "We have had some good natural snowfall so far this year," said Mountain Manager Bill Etchemendy, "…and snow cools the air temperature and the ground which keeps the machine made snow from melting."
