Mount Snow Opens
"Call it a renaissance," says Mount Snow General Manager Kelly Pawlak. "It's finally show time."
Seven open trails include a summit-to-base run along Canyon and Standard. The Grand Summit Express lift and the Canyon Express lift will be operating to give guests the option of a top-to-bottom run or a mid-mountain warm-up. A top-to-bottom run from the top of the Nitro Express lift will also be open at Carinthia.
Terrain park features for freestyle skiers and snowboarders will be set up on the side of Lower Long John, which is accessible from the Nitro Express chairlift in the Carinthia base area. Lower Long John will connect with the Fairway trail, with a shuttle connecting to the Main Base Area.
Mid- and upper-mountain terrain will be open to intermediate and advanced level skiers only. Beginners may use the Launch Pad learning area, which will be served by the Discovery Shuttle chairlift.
More terrain is in the works.
