Mt. Washington Bakes In The Sun
Not even the low overnight temperatures can stop the 400+ cm at the Vancouver Island ski resort from turning into a slush playground that will satisfy even the most fickle of riders right now.
Practically the moment the sun comes up, it hits Rick's, making its way to Westerley by day's end. Try finding a squishy little spot and then plunk yourself down after a few runs for a beverage and a bit of a bake in the sweet rays. The views are truely world-class.
It took a day for this out-of-towner to figure it out, but it was one puzzle worth solving. Try the trees to the skier's right of Rick's, if you find yourself in similar conditions (cold but sunny). You won't be disappointed.
