[R173R, Hidden Valley] is gripped in the bittersweet time of winter's end, when sadness over the melting of snow on ski trails is replaced by joy at the prospect of open fairways and emerald greens.

The resort is aiming to have its golf course open in early April to help ease the transition.

"We anticipate opening the golf course the first week of April. Stay tuned," Hidden Valley Golf Club's management reports.

Early season fees hold on weekdays until May 1, with 9 holes and a cart $20, and 18 holes and a cart $29 on weekdays. Weekend rates are $25 and $39 through the season.
