The King's At Mt. Rose
It's blue-suede shoes, big sideburns, and rhinestone time again at Mt. Rose where, for more than a decade, the Nevada resort has paid tribute to Elvis Presley on the Saturday closest to his Jan. 8 birthday. That day is Jan. 5, 2008. You can expect the Mt. Rose staff – and the occasional guest -- to don their favorite Elvis duds to re-enact The King's skiing, snowboarding and karate skills. Elvis look-alikes will greet guests in the parking lot, issue lift tickets, fit skis, and even teach lessons, creating a virtual sea of Elvis's.
